1 dead, 2 injured in Phoenix crash

Deadly vehicle crashes are a serious concern as more and more people in large metropolitan areas like Phoenix commute to work. For professional drivers, the road is their office and the vehicle is their desk. Many drivers may be entitled to compensation for a work injury on the road. Workers’ compensation can cover lost income and other expenses, and provide a sense of peace of mind.

Recently, a crash occurred in the eastbound lanes of the Loop 202 in Gilbert after a DPS service vehicle and a pickup truck were involved in an accident. One passenger in the pickup died and the two drivers were airlifted to a nearby hospital to receive medical care. The pickup truck swerved on the Loop 202 and hit the DPS Service vehicle that was parked on the shoulder. One person was seen being carried on a stretcher to the medical helicopter. The driver of the DPS service vehicle was conscious and verbal at a Scottsdale hospital.

Families and loved ones of those injured or killed in tragic workplace accidents can seek to be financially supported by workers’ compensation. In a time of loss, it is difficult to balance emotional, physical, and psychological hardships.

Seeking financial support during a time of loss is important, but navigating the murky waters of Arizona’s workers’ compensation claims process can be challenging. Maximizing one’s benefits for medical care and lost earnings is important for those injured in workplace accidents. Speaking with a workers’ compensation legal professional can make all the difference.
